The fees for 2&1/2 year olds are charged at an hourly rate. Please contact the Pre-School directly for further details. Our hourly rates, registration fee and deposit are all subject to annual review. The fees are payable within 7 days of the date of the invoice. You are required to pay for every reserved session, even if your child is absent due to illness or other reasons, and you must give a term’s notice of any change in your child’s attendance, otherwise you will be charged for one term’s fees.

Funding for 2 year olds (are you eligible?):

Some children may be eligible for funding before they turn three. Families on low incomes and receiving certain benefits may be eligible for 15 hours of FREE childcare per week for 2 year olds. For more details see:

Funding for 3 and 4 year olds – Universal Entitlement:

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours per week of Universal Entitlement for 38 weeks per year through the Free Entitlement scheme. This free entitlement can be used at Seer Green Pre-School.

Your child will qualify for funding the term after their third birthday. For funding purposes there are set dates to define term times:

Three year olds born between: Eligible for full funding from:
1st Apr and 31st Aug (inclusive) The start of the autumn term following their 3rd birthday
1st Sep and 31st Dec (inclusive) The start of the spring term following their 3rd birthday
1st Jan and 31st Mar (inclusive) The start of the summer term following their 3rd birthday

Claim forms are sent to the parents of eligible children before the end of the previous term.

Each child is entitled to 15 funded hours, however Seer Green Pre-School only offers 12 hours per week initially as standard, the additional 3 hours can be used at another setting or, subject to availability, your child may be able to attend an additional session (please speak to the Admissions Secretary for more details).

Please note that if children attend for more than 15 hours the additional time is chargeable based on our hourly rate. This includes older children who typically attend for 16 hours per week as the Friday session is 4 hours (8.50 – 12.50). Your child may opt-out of the last hour of this session if preferred so that they attend only for 15 hours.

If your 15 hours is split across two settings please keep us informed and ensure this is recorded on your child’s PPA-U (Parent/Provider Agreement for Free Entitlement – Universal 3/4 year olds) Form.

Funding for 3 and 4 year olds of working parents – Universal Entitlement:

A child will be entitled to the additional free hours (called the Extended Entitlement) from the term after both of the following conditions are satisfied: (1) the child has attained the age of three; (2) the child’s parent has a current positive determination of eligibility from HMRC which has then also been verified by BCC to the provider.

Due to the sessions that we run at the Pre-School we are not able to offer a child 30 hours, however you may split this across two settings. This will need to be recorded on your child’s PPA-E (Parent/Provider Agreement for Free Entitlement – Extended 3/4 year olds) Form.

Voluntary Contributions

The fees and funding provided to the Pre-School enable it to meet its day to day running costs throughout the year.  However, we rely heavily on fundraising and any voluntary donations to pay for any other investment in the Pre-School, such as toys, games, supplies and inevitable repair and replacement costs.  There is an opportunity to make a donation on each termly bill, all donations are gratefully received.

Gift Aid

Gift aid is tax relief on money donated to UK charities. When you start at the pre-school we will send you a declaration form that can be made out to cover individual donations, a series of donations, donations made during a specified period or to cover all donations.
